Concrete Measures to reduce the risk of Kidney Disease for those with Diabetes – Jennifer Weil, MD (nephrologist)

Did you know that chronic kidney disease is a silent condition?  In the early stages, there are no symptoms and it often develops so slowly that many people don’t realize they’re sick until the disease is advanced and the damage cannot be reversed.

What can you do to prevent CKD?  What can your doctor do to maintain the health of your kidneys?  Learn how laboratory tests can identify early CKD and find out how blood sugar control, blood pressure management, and certain medicines can slow or halt the progression of diabetic CKD.

Also learn about medicines that may worsen kidney disease.  Our goal is to enable you to become competent to discuss the kidney complications of diabetes with your doctor so that together, you can develop an action plan to avoid or deal with this potentially devastating problem.

Dr. Weil tells it like it is.  Her presentation is down to earth and she will answer all your questions frankly and honestly.
